The Team

Gareth

The brains behind the team and the one who first decided to sign up to the Africa Rally. The 33 year old computer geek happened across the Adventurists site and thought that he wouldn't mind having a go at one of these rallies they organise. He set his mind on the Africa Rally then went on to find someone who would be silly enough to join his team.

Sian

It didn't take much persuading for Sian to join the team; in fact, she had decided she was going before Gareth had even asked her! They first met 21 years ago when they were in the same class in high school, lost touch after school, but due to the miracles of the internet became friends early in 2009. A few months later they were more than just friends, and Sian had signed up to Team Cymruloons.

Rene the Renault

The most important part of the team was bought on the 10th October, from a jolly man in Keighley, Yorkshire. The 23 year old, grey Renault 5 passed its MOT with no trouble, surprising both Gareth and Sian and driving around with a smug look on its face ever since.
